Falkland CC has a successful girls junior section. We compete in the Berkshire U10 & U12 leagues represented by Falkland Thunder, Falkland Storm and Falkland Lightning.
We run two training sessions on Friday evenings (from April) 17:30-18:30 and 18:30 – 20:00 at the club for all interested girls in years 4, 5, 6 & 7.
For selected girls we also run a winter training programme.
Our aim is to provide a fun, safe and enjoyable cricket experience where the girls will develop some cricket skills, make new friends and hopefully progress on to enjoying playing games against other girls teams in the area.

Meet the coaches
Our coaching team is made up of ECB highly qualified coaches who have plenty of experience working with beginners right up to International Cricketers.
With new players and teams for this year, we have increased the coaching set up, and are pleased to confirm that we have 3 ECB Level 3 coaches working with the club:
Neil Rider – Head Coach of the Girls section, and former England Women’s Manager & Coach.
Richard Hindley – Played professional cricket and has been coaching in a full time capacity for 10 years.
Russ Camplin – Has a wealth of knowledge and experience in coaching – and is also contracted by the ECB to work with up and coming coaches.
We also have great support from our assistant coaches, but always welcome anyone else who is interested to help, learn and assist in the coaching and running of the club.
All coaches and assistant coaches are DBS checked
Summer Programme – Matches
We organise a full programme of festival matches throughout the summer, culminating in the County Finals Day in September. These festivals are a round robin format, against up to 3 other clubs over a morning (normally Sunday). It’s a great opportunity for the girls to show their skills.
The dates of matches will be shared at the start of the season and further details are on our Facebook page. Two weeks in advance we’ll ask selected girls to confirm if they are interested and available to play via the parents. The plan is for as many girls as possible to participate and experience the matches across the summer, once they have reached the required standard.
Social is very important to us, we use Facebook and Twitter for updates, match reports and photos where we can. Please follow the pages and look out for updates, you can also message us via these pages.
We offer a free trial for new members and are actively looking for new members. Anyone interested in joining or coming along for a taster session please email email@example.com or call Andy White 07780 706811.
