Falkland Junior Girls

Falkland Junior Girls

The Falkland girls junior section was started in 2016 by Neil Rider, the former England Women’s Manager and Coach. Since its inception it has grown to become the largest girl’s cricket club in Berkshire and currently has over 90 junior playing members.

All girls are welcome to attend in the summer season where there are regular training sessions on a Friday evening. High quality coaching is now led by Tim Colby, the coaching team and an army of volunteers that make the club work.

The club also run a competitive playing programme for girls teams at U9 all the way up to U19. Over the last 6 years there has been lots of success for the Falkland teams both on and off the field, with some impressive team results.

The club has a thorough coaching programme which has seen over 30 girls go on and represent Berkshire with 4 also making it in to the Southern Vipers Academy. We are also extremely proud that our first club member, Ava Lee, made her professional debut for Southern Vipers in 2023 and go on to be selected to tour Sri Lanka in 2024 with the England U19 team where she took 4-19 on debut.

Falkland is a fun, vibrant and friendly club and open to all girls of all abilities from Year 4 upwards.

If you would like to come along for a free taster session or would like to join then please contact Tim Colby, Girls Cricket Coordinator on 07970 631747 or womenandgirls@falklandcc.co.uk
With warm regards
