Falkland Women's Cricket

By 2026, England will see a record number of women and girls playing cricket, and Falkland Cricket Club is proud to be at the heart of this exciting movement. Over recent years, the club has experienced remarkable growth in female participation, supported by dedicated coaching, structured training sessions, and development programmes designed to nurture talent and ignite a lifelong love for the game. Our ambition is clear: to inspire the next generation of female cricketers and ensure that cricket truly remains a sport for everyone.

Falkland Cricket Club competes in both the Home Counties Women’s Cricket League, sponsored by Serious Cricket—featuring six divisions and over 35 clubs—and the ECB Vitality T20 Cup. These competitions provide high-quality, competitive adult cricket and an excellent pathway for player development.

The majority of our players have developed their skills from a young age right here at Falkland, and in 2026 we are proud to be expanding further with the addition of a Women’s 2nd XI. For those new to the sport or simply looking for a fun and welcoming introduction to cricket, we also run a thriving Women’s Softball team.

Training for all women takes place on Friday evenings, with matches typically played on Sundays throughout the summer. Off the field, players and supporters alike enjoy our superb modern clubhouse—widely admired across the region—which includes The Bowlers Arms pub, offering food and refreshments in a friendly, social setting.

At Falkland Cricket Club, we are building more than teams—we are building opportunities, confidence, and a vibrant future for women’s cricket. ?
