Congratulations to the U11 Boys Cavaliers on clinching the Berkshire Youth Challenge League West division title!
Out of 10 teams in the league, they secured 8 wins—an outstanding achievement. They excelled across all three facets of the game, recording some impressive victories by large margins, all while playing with a smile and inspiring a positive team spirit throughout.
Key performances included strong batting from Finn H and Alfie C, who consistently dominated the oppositions' bowlers. With the ball, Aayansh K and Finn J were both economical and threatening, taking crucial wickets. Ollie C, Hugo C-M, Tarun G, Shivansh P, Olly P-W and Edward S contributed valuable all-round efforts, while wicketkeeper Will C was dependable behind the stumps.
This was truly a team effort!
A huge congratulations to all the boys, who have been together as a group for four years now, fostering a fantastic camaraderie, and always supporting and encouraging each other. Their dedication and hard work over winter and summer training have clearly paid off.
The U11 Roundheads also had a fantastic season finishing a close second in the same league. The team, consisting mainly of younger Y5 boys, regularly 'punched above their weight', winning games against teams with older boys and more experienced players. Derick M, Joe B and Llewellyn W consistently anchored the team with strong performances with bat and ball. Vraj P, Viraat B and Seb G-B provided the pace attack, whilst 'spin twins' Joe A and Harrison M often got teams in a muddle. Oscar S-M and Nathan C were consistent in all three disciplines of the game and many other boys provided strong squad support during the season.
Well done to this young team on having such a successful season!
Falkland Girls U13 finished a strong 3rd in the table to complete the 1,2,3 in the table for Falkland – a remarkable achievement for the club and shows the strength and depth of junior cricket at Falkland CC.
It’s been a remarkable summer for the U11s, making Falkland incredibly proud!
Thank you to all parents for your support throughout the season.
