Fielding a much changed side with an age range spanning no less than eight decades, Falkland Development went down by 8 wickets away to Stratfield Turgis and Hartley Wespall 2nds. Parsimonious bowling by the hosts particularly Tom Clay (8 overs 2 for 10), some over ambitious strokes and two needless run outs led to Falkland being shot out for just 54 in 27 overs with veteran Wilson Carlisle (10) the only batsman to scrape into double figures.
Stratfield Turgis knocked off the runs in 14 overs, but Falkland's youngsters gave a good display in the field and gained a consolation bowling point when Charlie Mabbatt and Ed Langdon each picked up a wicket.
